Raychem RPG – Category A cable glands are metallic industrial cable glands designed for safe (non-hazardous) industrial environments. They are used to secure, seal, and terminate cables entering electrical equipment or enclosures.

These glands are suitable for:

• Power cables
• Control & instrumentation cables
• Data & telecom cables
• Fire-resistant cables

Main Function :

• Provide mechanical retention (grip)
• Ensure environmental sealing (dust/moisture protection)
• Maintain integrity of enclosures
• Offer strain relief and cable protection

🔹 Types under Category A

Category A includes different gland types based on cable construction:

• A1 / A2 → For unarmoured cables (single compression)
• CW / BW → For armoured cables (industrial safe areas)
• E1W → For armoured cables with double compression (extra sealing & grip)
