HAND HACKSAW
Bahco hand hacksaws are professional-grade cutting tools known for high-tension frames and shatterproof Sandflex bi-metal blades. They feature ergonomic designs and alternative blade mounting options (55° or 90°) specifically for flush cutting in tight spaces. A hacksaw cuts through metal using the process of abrasion. Its fine-toothed blade scrapes away material with each forward stroke, in contrast to the tearing action of coarser saws used on materials like wood.
Selecting the Right Blade (TPI)
According to RS Components, matching the Teeth Per Inch (TPI) to the material is critical for performance
14–18 TPI: Best for thicker, softer materials like steel pipes or rods and metals like Copper and Brass.
24 TPI: The standard for medium-duty cutting, such as thin-wall electrical conduit and Stainless Steel.
32 TPI: Ideal for very thin metals and light alloys like aluminium.
